What is happening differently with the reports ArtDiscovery creates?

This will be mostly transparent to our clients when they receive our reports the first time. We will be using the Artory private vault to store final reports. This will provide the security and authenticity of our reports via blockchain. It will also allow customers to control who accesses the report in the private vault – while keeping their personal information private and secure.

Why is this better? How does it help me?

Now, all ArtDiscovery reports can be verified allowing future sellers and owners to guarantee that no information has been tampered with. Some clients can also opt in to making their reports publicly accessible through the Artory Registry, bringing a new level of transparency to the art market.

Why does ArtDiscovery need additional security? Are my past reports not safe?

Past reports remain secure using our previous heightened methods of security. The enhanced security offered by Artory comes after delivery of our report to the customer and where the customer wants to share the report with others or to verify it as the actual report produced by ArtDiscovery.

Who can see the ArtDiscovery reports? Are the reports still confidential? Who can see my personal information?

ArtDiscovery reports are only ever visible by ArtDiscovery and their clients through Artory’s end-to-end encrypted Vault. Not even Artory has access to this information. On the other hand, clients can opt in to making their reports publicly accessible, which ArtDiscovery believes is an important aspect in delivering increased transparency to the art market. Similarly, personal information remains confidential unless the client requests otherwise.

What is the difference between the Artory Registry and Artory Vault?

The company’s core product, the Artory Registry, is a blockchain-secured registry of verified information about artworks, collectibles, and their history, giving confidence and peace of mind to buyers and collectors that the information they are transacting upon is the latest and most accurate information available. Artwork owners can use the Artory Registry to connect with Artory’s partner network of auction houses, galleries, and appraisers to validate the information associated with their artwork and receive digital certificates of registration, ownership, and authenticity. The Artory Vault is a private end-to-end encrypted platform which acts as an organization tool for collectors. Collectors use the Vault to securely store their artwork information and the certificates that have been issued to them.

How can I use the Artory Registry?

ArtDiscovery clients will be guided through the process by ArtDiscovery. The simple process includes creating a free account and claiming the artwork record registered by ArtDiscovery.

How much does adding the ArtDiscovery reports to Artory cost me?

The price for the Artory Private Vault is included in the ArtDiscovery price to our customers. There is a nominal price to non-collectors for posting to the Artory Registry.
